At least you're not one of the guys that thinks they're "laser rifles". I would like an explanation as to how they fit that many rounds into an aesthetically tiny magazine, though.

Maybe the bullet is really really small, but has enough force to not only penetrate the exoskeleton but to come out on the other side, causing enough damage to kill, like some sort of needle, if you notice they need to fire a lot of shots to kill one bug.

The Morita is supposedly a large caliber assault rifle. One from the movie is 7.62mm.

I like the uniforms from the show a lot better than the ones from the movies. First thought about the movie: "So... every planet in the known Universe has breathable atmosphere that doesn't require pressure-sealed suits? Totally."

since ... comets .... remember how they generate their "tail" ? when the temperature vaporizes the ice from the side that's facing the sun... does that ... qualify for an answer ?
