Ok yeah it won't destroy the earth and our atmosphere, and if it were 150 years ago it would go unnoticed. But they didn't rely on electricity and technology then. So the question is it possible that it could take out the grid? And if do to what extent if we had a 1859 like event a large X class? What will happen to the nuclear power stations? He said don't worry about solar storms that our atmosphere will protect us. In 1859 a solar flare burned up telegraph lines. When we get hit by another solar max. like the one in 1859 it will damage electrical grids and transfomers all computers cell phones any thing that is electronic will fry! The only thing that can protect our electronics is to put them in a Faraday cage. But they will be useless if the infastructure is fried. The electromagnetic field around earth is gone. Research it.

Ah. Did not learn a thing. X Flares are the 1 to worry about. Who knows if we'll get hit with 1. But the BBC covered this subject 10 times better, neither going the fearmongering way. Fear effects the Brain Negatively and can change a person's pschy.

Didn't NASA come out just not to long ago and say Earth's Magnetic field is weaking in spots around the globe.? Fluctuating entirely! Isn't NASA just another name for NSA? I don't think they'd tell us the truth about much untill the lil men from mars land in front of the white house. haha and they'd still try to cover that up most likely.
