If you want to have a popular or a viral video on YouTube, your videos must be engaging. Here are some tips to engage your audience in a video.

1. Have an eye catching background for your video

2. Be different / grab attention in the first 15-30 seconds

3. Shift views, zoom, pan, or other visual change every 30 seconds.

Grabbing your audience's attention is important but engaging your audience means grabbing it AND then keeping it. There are lots of ways to do this. Play with some and watch your YouTube video views skyrocket.

@ThaJewishPanda Settle down Jewish Panda! I'm just kidding I just wanted to say that... True, marketing is VERY different than content creation and should be treated as such. To properly market your video takes some time energy and planning. We have some free tips on that over at our website. We are starting to create more content for our channel about marketing specifically. BTW, you make some kick ass backgrounds!

@TheWebsiteLover Either way, it takes time and effort. Marketing is different than content creation. You have to learn or have someone on your team of people that will do the work necessary and there IS work.

@espben360 For sports model some of the best...make your videos like an ESPN sports show. This would mean a lot of overlay graphics in your videos but you could jazz it up a lot with the different teams and stuff. Look at what is working in your industry and model them.
