This is a track I did for another remix competition, this time using vocals from the great Steklo! Thanks to ElectronicDanceGenerator.com for the opportunity to remix these great lyrics! I did it with a kind of heavy electro/electro hop style with some Moombahton thrown in for good measure. :)

I have a Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/mcubedmusic

Download links for most of my tracks are there on Facebook and also at http://www.soundcloud.com/mikethemusician

Please head over to http://influxx.bandcamp.com for a Halloween track I released with a good friend of mine!

Any tips/feedback are quite welcome in the comments!

Enjoy!

  • its good man, it needs to be mastered better though!

  • @KnightmareDub Thanks! Yeah, I agree. Do you have any tips for mixing/mastering? I've heard that it's something that just kind of takes a while to learn and that people don't always master their own tracks, instead getting a professional to do it.

    Any advice? :)

  • <3 Kinda too slow. D: But I think that may just be me. Great job! I dig it!

  • @UnicornParty5 Haha thanks for the perspective! And thanks for watching! :)

  • @MisterMikeyMonster you sir have another follower!!!

  • I love it :) but you should try going up in octave in the beginning second half of the song and then return to the starting octave. Also you should try a double beat from the original. But overall i liked it a lot... Good job :)

  • To be honest, the newer pieces are way better than the pieces with more "experience" behind them. Enjoy your creativity. It gives you an edge on people like Skrillex who just use the same beats over and over. Not going to lie, Skrillex is good, but I have found a new favorite. :)

  • @DIBandage Awesome! Thanks very much for your advice!! I always try to hear as many people's perspectives to help me learn! I really appreciate it! :)

  • @MisterMikeyMonster Yes, I'd actually like to give some, I was way too tired when I wrote that comment last night.

0:59, it needs something to add a great kick into the drop, it's almost the main thing people are here to listen to. I was waiting for something extraordinary, too, but I kind of got disappointed.

Also, I'd like to hear some efficent EQ usage. For now it seems all to be quite in the middle frequences all the time. Some funny panning would be great to try out too.

  • @DIBandage Sorry you didn't like it! I'd love any constructive criticism on it if you have any. :)
