  • If you dont like Rachmaninov you must have something wrong with you, therefore you should be punched in your teeth.

  • Very simply, beautifully and sensitively sung! This exquisite song, in the high Russian romantic style, was written in 1912 when Rachmaninoff was living and working as an orchestra conductor in Moscow, many years before he came to America.

  • It's a so beautiful video!

Thank you so uch dear friend!, you really understand what it means this so subliment master piece.

A very, VERY warm hug from

a chilean voyager to the end

  • Belle interprétation

  • The piano accompaniment (rubato) tells me: "the voice/singer is more important than the music itself"... agogics have to be ORGANIC.

  • This song was written in 1915, not 1912, for Antonina Nezhadanova, she was a student at a conservatory in Moscow. When she said it was a pity there were no lyrics, Rachmaninov replied, “You don’t really need words to express the best in you."

  • simply beautiful, I just love to listen to it; it is very melancolic ..

  • @petermjensen hahahaha I have no recollection of ever writings this, but I am sure that I did. I certainly do not mean it literally. Haha I could not stop laughing when I read what I wrote!

  • @emekonen I read these words somewhere; "I do not know the hearts of anyone and therefore cannot pass judgment on my fellow human beings." Oh yes, I remember now; they are on your own website!

  • Perfect tempo! Flawless singing!! Doesn't get any better then this!!!

  • Very nice!!!!!!
