The Panini America Interview: Carolina Panthers Superstar QB Cam Newton

The Cam Newton Era officially kicks off later today when the Carolina Panthers' Heisman Trophy-winning former National Champion makes his first NFL start on the road against the Arizona Cardinals. But all of us here at Panini America have been on the Newton bandwagon since April.

That's when we produced his first officially licensed NFL trading cards inside 2011 Prestige Football -- and when we knew we had to have him as a special part of the Panini America family.

In late May at the 2011 NFL PLAYERS Rookie Premiere, just days after inking him to an autograph agreement, we sat down for an exclusive interview with the electrifying quarterback selected No. 1 overall in the 2011 NFL Draft. During the engaging conversation Newton discussed, among other things, what he learned from NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal and what he thinks of this first Rookie Cards.
