lol this song is about being reborn after a major event coming to a relization that there is something divine out there god, and after going through something like that ud feel more alive then ever. kind of like waking up for the first time in a long time.

I remember this song from Woodstock. Jimi and Eric got in a fist fight over who would play lead. Eric ended up accidentally beating the crap out of Bill Bruford, who wasn't even there (which should tell you something about the mental state of the crowd).

Actually, now that I think about it, I don't think I was even at Woodstock. I did do a lot of acid in the early 80's.

Or maybe that was my older sister...

Anyway, I lost my virginity to that song (but the country version).
