Testing the differences in PhysX performance of several different cards, starts with an i7 975EE cpu, then a 9800gt, gtx280's in 3 way sli, a dedicated gtx 280 and wrap it all up with a gtx 480.

  • @wallonthefloor Note how enabeling a PPU (Phyiscs Processing Unit) the score goes up? Ever wonder why that is? Yes the CPU can process physics but if you have a graphics card that can process physics it will do it better, hence a way to determine differences in the physics processing between different cards.

  • Reguardless of what you call it, it's still a way to measure it. If you have one of the original Ageia PhysX cards it will get you about another 40 steps/s over the cpu, and it does nothing but process Physics calculations.
