Jasmine(Boxer) plays with Winston (English Spot mix) or vice versa
UPDATE: 2-3-09 Winston has passed away:
Winston hasn't been right for a couple of months, but very noticably started loosing muscle mass in last month or month in a half. He became friendly with dogs and stopped biting them for getting too close. He had a pouchie abdomen last couple of days, but was eating very well and active. He had an xray a couple months ago when I started getting concerned about his muscle loss and failure to get rid of his foot pad infection, despite being on an antibiotic injection for over a month. The vet found no abnormalities except spondylosis. Winston started to have real difficulty breathing just tonight and a couple hours later, he screamed. I came to take him out of his cage and he started to have what appeared as a seizure. He continued screaming as I held him, I pretty much knew he was going. He stopped moving but was still breathing a couple more breaths and then quickly his body let go.

  • When I bought a bunny at a local pet store it was having many of the symptoms your poor bunny was suffering from in its final days. I talked to a vet here in the Central Valley(Ca.) who specializes in rodents and he told me to put a water purifier on my tap and don't give it unfiltered tap water. He said the chlorine and other harmful crap is especially bad on certain rodents who have a more sensitive immune system, and it can actually attack and weaken their immune system. (cont.)

  • @Babyhowdy233 Rabbits are not rodents. This rabbit and current one do drink purified water.

  • @sharon07430 You don't need to shit yourself over him saying rodent, hes trying to help you don't be an asshole.

  • isnt this taunting??? no offence or anything

  • FYI: Rabbits have NOT been classified as rodents since the 1920's. Look it up.

In fact, the only reason they were classified as rodents in the first place was because their teeth grew continuously. Scientists found, however, that rabbits have very significantly different morphological features from any rodent and also completely different genetics.

Rabbits. Are not. RODENTS. Get it straight.

  • rabbits are rodents its just they are super fluffy and adorable

  • Omg that was so cute! (: I just love rabbits they are my favorite animal. So cute.

  • Nice :-) my boxer also loves our rabbits and guinea pigs.. it IS possible to let them play together. People who think it's dangerous are narrow minded. Ofcourse you (as packleader ;-)) have to know your dog (or small animals ;)) good enough to be a 100% sure it won't hurt the other animals.

  • @sharon...i am so sorry for your loss and how it happened. i know because i have been in the exact same position of holding my dying bunny. worst feeling ever! mine turned out to be a congenitive heart failure which was genetic and nothing could be done. again, sorry for your loss

  • Our bunny was potty trained, he had his cage but he'd run the house and back yard, play with the cat and dogs, he was awesome! He never once screamed, but he did grunt a lot. Lol, he was so cute! Spoiled little monster, he lived to be eleven years old. :)

  • wen i saw the bunny runin i was like RUN BUNNY RUN!!! but then the dog backed away thn i was like oh.. nevermind....
