my oil pump came with a male shaft and female pump how do you install the new shaft can i just put the male pump center thing in the new pump?

@xrm150420 They can be swapped. It's easier that swapping the drive shaft that's in the motor.

For the new piston on a 88 racehead kit do you have to do the ring end gaps or can you just take them out lf the package and put them on?

i'd like to paint my clutch cover black. do i need to remove my cylinder and head to do that :O and when i remove the cover nothing will fall out and putting it back on is easy? thanks:)
