University of Portland's flights during SAE Aero Design East 2009. Portland Aeronautics ended up fourth place overall with an honorable mention in the sportsmanship award.

  • @175myles The different weights in the video mean that is how much payload we have on board. The goal of this competition was to carry as much weight as you can. Our plane weighed 7 pounds empty and we lifted 20 pounds, nearly three times its weight, and placed fourth in the competition. We also got bonus points because we calculated exactly how much weight we would carry before the plane was even built, and it carried that exact amount of weight.

  • What is the different weights mean? Is it how much they add to it to see if it can carry weight or not? Or is it to see who's plane can carry the most?
