Major Scales and excerpts from C.M. Weber's "Concertino for Clarinet" for Common Application Arts Supplement. Sorry if the upper register sounds a little whiny... I don't think my laptop's microphone enjoys recording clarinets. =P Thanks for listening and hopefully I get to work with you next year! -Mark

  • very good air support and intonation! Try long tones to stabalize your tone and center each note.. If you play the B flat Concert Scale or any others, holding each note for a long as you can (evenly and full)... Then, start changing it up (holding at least 4 tied whole notes (16 secs), played at tempo= 60 bpm, crescendo C and decrescendo D and continue alternating throughout the duration of the scale.... Tone will not be an issue after that. You would be able to focus on other Fundamentals....
