@lewlewkachoo no i wouldn't of and i do agree with you. im just saying i get fed up of evry one idolising pete doherty just for being cute or somthing like that, every body seems to forget that karl barrat was as much the essence of the band as pete was and the rest of them. just wishing that people would remember it thats all. im not hating on the libertines. i love them i saw em at reading ive seen pete 3 times live met him twice and was in a documentary about him for the danish film councle

@bluejumper28 you could say drugs ruined the The Libertines. or you could say they made The Libertines. i mean there first album "up the bracket" can you imagin that album writen by 2 clean-living-church-goers? id rather have 2 drugged up chaotic libertine years than 10 Scouting For Girls years.

@bluejumper28 As much as some would like to have a ''vilain'' in that story, life's not that black and white. They both did fucked-up things that contributed to the end of their relationship. They were just kids! Anyway, if Carl himself never stoped loving Pete and is willing to be friends with him again, we have no right to point Peter as ''the one who fucked up'' and have no simpathy for him. Poor Pete, poor Carl, and I'm just glad they're working things out.
