I can understand why this fight can be considered hard. IF you do not realize or even know you are actually able learn not only more than one, but up to 9 jump commands, this fight is damn near impossible. Spamming triangle when he does his attacks so that you have plenty of jumps is the key to winning this battle. Guarding doesn't hurt, too. You can actually guard his attack and have a little time left over to use the Learn command. You can't guard EVERYTHING, though, so don't rely on it.
