Minister's Visit at ILC

The Hon'ble state Minister of Science and Information and Communication Technology (MOSICT), Architect Yeafesh Osman visited the Internet Learning Center at Rani Bilashmoni Govt. Boys High school on February 3, 2009.

On his arrival, the Hon'ble state Minister received a warm welcome from the school authority before the students enlightened him with a brief presentation on the School and the Global Connection and Exchange Program- an initiative of Relief International Schools Online (RI-SOL) and Education and Cultural Affairs Bureau of the US State Department to promote equity of access to the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and online cross cultural collaboration.

Honorable minister greatly appreciated the work of Relief International and its contribution to yield ICT literate students in Bangladesh. He concluded the event by reiterating the importance of ICT in Education in all the academic institutions to contribute to the DIGITAL Bangladesh by 2021.

Mr. Ahmed Hossain Khan , Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Science and ICT, Mr. Nazrul Islam, country director of Relief International, Mr. Mahmud Hasan, Chief Executive Officer of Bangladesh Telecenter Network and Dr. Ananya Raihan, executive director of D. Net, District Commissioner of Gazipur, teachers, students and community members were also present during the event.
