The Tuskegee Airmen quickly earned the admiration of friend and foe alike. The German Luftwaffe called them "Schwartze Vogelmenschen," Black Birdmen. To American bomber crews, they were known as Red Tail Angels because of the red stabilizers on their P-51 Mustangs.

  • Let it be known to all that read these words..bigots and non-bigots alike..never have we had in the anals of history, a group of braver men. These incredibly brave African American warriors were laughed at, mocked, even physically beaten by their own white countrymen. They endured all this yet prevailed to serve their country! So racists, bow your heads in shame! For we shall never see the likes of these extraordinary supermen ever again... the legendary elite warriors... The Tuskegee Airmen!

  • I can not stand it any longer. You people spewing hate can go to hell. Anyone, and I mean anyone that has put on the uniform of our nations military is my brother, I do not give a shit what color the person is, met two of the RedTail pilots when I was in Cleveland, terrific human beings, proud of their service, as they should be. Anyone that has faced battle is my brother or sister, anyone that wants to comment negatively to this post can go to hell. If you have not served shut up, or enlist.
