Thoreau the original "occupier". Rather than work to obtain private property (a rare privilege we enjoy in this country) he "occupies" the woods while lamenting the work others "inherited" therefore shouldn't be forced to do. What if they felt satisfied with an honest day's pay for an honest day's work. If everyone lived as Thoreau did imagine the innovations and conveniences we enjoy today that would never have existed because there was no incentive to produce anything.
