he was very specific about referencing their views on foreign policy and not much else. All he said was that he'd look further at their stand on the issues if he weren't running himself. Dr. paul is a statesman, not a politician. If you want smooth, vote for edwards or obama, if you want competent, intelligent, informed and effective, then this is the guy

"Alternative to FEMA?" You act as if FEMA has really outdone itself over these past 8 years or something. FEMA is a colossal failure; state-funded local organizations could do better IMO.

And federal income taxes dont pay for much as it is; they certainly arent helping us out of debt. Why not cut all the useless programs that dont work- but through their symbolism still got some politician elected- and ADMIT the obvious: that the govt cant solve all these problems?

Yes he does. He doesnt WANT any alternatives.

He is advocating a MUCH SMALLER central government whose main responsibilities would be defense and protecting the constitution...as in...what their job actually IS anyway.

He wants local and state governments, by contrast, to provide for whatever services and public needs as they see fit.

These arent radical ideas at all...its how the framework for govt. in this country was designed in the first place.

Youre arguing that centralized, federal government is superior/more efficient in addressing problems in a given state than THAT state's local government is?

And I have no way of knowing that we'd automatically see an equally-powerful and overarching LOCAL govt as soon as the FEDERAL govt was cut back and limited...and frankly neither do you.

He CANT do any of that in "one fell swoop."

The point is you start electing people who promise to address the pressing issues that the other candidates DONT EVEN BRING UP.

Do politicians make good on all their promises? NO WAY. But its much better than candidates who by practice keep NONE OF THEM.

Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich are good friends and have both said as much multiple times.

I think he knows wherehe stands.

If border security and illegal immigration were important to Ron Paul, he would have never referenced Sen. Chuck Hagel and Rep. Dennis Kucinich (at 5:00). Each of them have horrible voting records with regard to border security and illegal immigration. This should provide a clue as to how important this subject is to him. He would be educated in where they stand.

Sorry,I expect a candidate to publicly answer questions cogently. I saw him dodge answering some very thoughtful ones,rambling on instead,and commented on it.

Now,because I obviously was interested enough to track him,and ask questions,but not 100% convinced,I have taken endless shit from the likes of you,been called names and told I am lazy. You are not just pc UNfriendly;you are rude and arrogant. Learn to accept that Paul may not be GOD to all of us.

Im a typical American. Not a representative. Sorry Im not PC friendly. You are lazy. You dont consider it important enough to research very important issues that are important to the future of America and spend all this time argueing before even trying to inform yourself. Theres TONS of videos here on YouTube where RP responds in open forums. More than ANY candidate so why are you here instead of listening to what you say you want?
