thanks for posting this. I have a badly injured pigeon who had not eaten or drunk anything for twenty four hours. I was able to get some electrolytes and squab feed down him with this. Got hold of the vet and got some medication, so he may survive. I don't think he would have a chance without this extra bit of food. It felt good to see him with a nice crop-full.

I do this on a regular basis too, its saved alot of lives. It looks worse than it is, after the first few feeds like this the pigeon seeks comfort from it, But what i will say is, that if you havent been shown how to do it by a vet or proper trained wildlife vet dont attempt it, as if the tube is in the wrong place(a novice will not know this) you can actually flood the lungs and kill the bird.
hi if I did not find that fluid milk what els can I feed her?
i have a pigeon too...

@cutyvill That depends on where you are . The recommendations for feeding a baby pigeon at pigeon rescue.co.uk might help.
You could also try defrosting peas and corn and feeding them one at atime, an adult pigeons would need about 100 pieces, fed in at least 2 sessions.

Does a pigeon have a comparatively larger oesophagus than the dog and cat, relative to its body size? I am looking at the width of the feeding tube! Looks quite substantial for the size of the bird. Is this just due to the bird's crop?

It must be proportionately wider. The tube is about the width of the beans and peas in the pigeon mix. But I have also used it on the smaller doves and it slips in gently...it is a very soft tube, I find it less invasive than the metal ones. It is really satisfying when a pigeon helps, trying to swallow the tube because it associates it with feeling satisfied.
