white is a easy color to hide  screw ups

Of course it is, and a very popular color for every make of car, including Mercedes, Porche, and Lotus, and most every make.. White was the original color of both of my cars.

companies like Midas only charge $200 because they don't do any prep work and the paint won't last...nice video though!

@neilslade Okay, with a few hiccups along the way, I have managed to start from square 1, and worked up to two coats of primer on my first project, my 1998 Ford Expedition EB. I ordered your product and did exactly as the material instructed and everything turned out fine! The only problem is I had to keep on top of the dust on the roof due to the truck being in my garage. The truck is covered right now, awaiting guidecoat and blocksanding. Any ideas for dust reduction during base/clear coat?

The funny thing, however, in 10 years as a Lotus owner-- it only broke down once- about 10 years ago. Never since then, very reliable.

I agree mostly- I would MUCHHHHH rather paint even in a flimsy tent that outside-- but, if you are in a season of low bug population, and no wind, and you're not doing your Ferrari- it is possible.

No- you must use etching primer on the rust spots-- please see my RUST page "Quick Tips" on the painting web site. Otherwise, your rust will return.
