i think you should go on facebook and join by class 60 group just type class 60 and it should come up and help me keep them going.

I said that EWS would get rid of them back in 2002. It was always there game plan to use many of them as donor locos to keep the rest going. What they did not bank on was the fact that they need a small number of them to work heavy stone etc trains. We now see DB do exactly what EWS were going to do. Have 20 or so running and use the others as cannibals to keep the 20 active. When they are finished using parts from the 80 scrappers then the shells will go for scrap.

Well I think I am going to cheer u up. I ahve been told be a realiable source that the 60's are going to withdrawn this Saturday, but the ones in the Best condition are to be re-furbished, almost half It seems, Untill they enter service again the 66's will double head the heaviest train, or run 2 train for the one flow, so things seem good for the class.
