mercy and grace towards His children. His arms are open wide, and He is ready to further bless those who stay obedient and faithful to Him. Some of us may choose to distort His image, but some of us choose to worship Him. I choose the latter because I've done the former. The former does not work; there is such chaos and confusion along that road. And along that road, we hurt ourselves. God is more sad to see His children hurting themselves rather Him getting hurt. He is so beautiful.

God allows sin in the world. He never intended it to happen, but it's what we decided to do. I think people distort His image to fulfill their sense of belonging in this world. They want to make it to the top in whatever way the world tells them to do so. And in that process we choose to blaspheme against His word and essentially reject our created purpose - to be in relationship and dependence on Him and live according to His ways. Read the New Testament, and you with a bit of learning you can discern for yourself. Usually when people distort Jesus and who He is, they don't have a clear understanding of what salvation is.

There's that misconception. That somehow the love you give to others will change other people's lives. Only the love of Christ changes one's heart. You may make someone happier but you will never be able to change that person.

But Love apart from God is just an illusion. You may think you're loving, but at the end of the day it just might be "good works" to make you feel like you're a "good person".

God says none is righteous apart from God (Romans).

I commit myself to loving others because I believe in the one who loved us first. And that is God. We should strive for His love, ours is just an illusion.

I encourage you to read Genesis 1,2,3 depicting both God's perfect world for him and His children in the Garden of Eden, and Chapter 3 highlighting man's fall. Everyone would like Heaven now, but only God knows what is best for His children.
