Cool video.
Let Pete in to the Hall, Bud S.

Anyone who says Pete Rose had heart, and not talent, should be smacked across the face.
One way you can tell that this swing is great, regardless of the perfect mechanics, is that at 0:55, you can see how quickly the ball comes off the bat. There is no deadening of the bat, as you might see with a bad swing. With a good swing, no deviation of the elbows, etc, maximum energy is produced. This ball was hit a mile.

Pete Rose knew what baseball took: hard work. Now that we live in an era of immediatcy and entitlement, I don't know if we'll ever see another one like him again. :(

Pete Rose is a bad ass! One of the greatest hitters of all time thats for sure. He didnt use steroids either, just pure raw talent you cant dispute that. Yea he bet and lied about it but that has nothing to do with his ability to hit the ball. I think he should be a hall of famer. Even then steroid using ball players such as Bonds and Clemens still have to have an great amount of talent to produce the results they did in their careers.Steroid using bb players should be banned but not Pete Rose!!

is it me or is his swing is so early for an outside pitch.

HALL OF FAME HERE THIS: Pete Rose belongs in the Hall. The Hall and Pete both lose when you keep this senseless stupidity of banning him from what he deservedly earned with his accomplishments. Cooperstown Hall is about the fans NOT the Hall and the people who run it. Most fans want this ban lifted for the benefit of the fans, Rose and the Hall.
If you happen to encounter him and you are a Reds fan, he treats you like royalty.
Pete is one of the greatest players ever. He deserves to be in the hall of fame.
Bud Selig should be banned for life because his conduct in the 1994 strike and the all star "tie" did ACTUAL damage to baseball, Pete was nothing but an asset.

I've never seen his technique dissected like this before to give us all a REAL hitting lesson. If it had to be anyone, you could not have picked a better player than the hit king himself! Thanks for posting!!!!!!!
