We drove about 1 hour from Cannes to the very picturesque town of Port Grimaud. It is a town built on Canals and most people have boats. It is a sort of Mini Venice; nothing compared to the real one!

It must be weird to step out of your front door and hop on to a boat!!!

Music is "Along Came Betty" by the Quincy Jones Big Band.

Filmed using the Sony HDR-HC5E HDV1080i High Definition Handycam.

  • fantastic , love the place . Le Mistral

  • Thanks a lot! Yes it is a very lovely, quaint place.

  • Joan Collins had a house there and she used to put the union jack on a flagpole when she was in like the queen. I once knocked on her door and ran away. Can REALLY recommend the gossip cruise from the campsite just outside - Les Prairies de la Mer

  • Cool! I'll keep that in mind the next time I go!

  • You learn from your experiences! I don't tend to come to the South of France in the heat of the summer and usually go between April - June and October as they are cooler periods.

I must admit, I did wonder where on earth people were as it was so eerily quiet!

I will definitely revisit Port Grimaud, but this next time in a busier period :D

  • july is good its busy, but not as busy as auguast, thats just plan crazy! :) December is not a great tiem to go, eveywhere is closed
