  • are beach stones/rocks too dense for knapping? I picked some up because they made that sound, but they are really hard to do. It doesn't fracture. Their about the size of my palm though so the size is right I think. What types of stone should I be looking for in southern california I can't tell what's been brought in and what's local to use

  • Hey there, well, I'm not sure because I am unfamiliar with that area of the country. The best thing to do is know the principles and then just try it on different rocks until you develop an intuitive feel for it. I hope this helps!

  • Awesome job with the video. what survival knife would you recommend for all around performance?

  • Thanks... I have been using the fallkniven Idun lately... there are lots of good ones out there though.

  • you should have your own show...seems you know just about everything there is to know about being a survivalist

  • Thanks! Maybe someday... I have a LONG way to go... stay tuned!

  • click 1:47 to skip to the good part... XD

  • Dude, is this like a discovery channel test screening? You seem highly professional! You are made for TV, man. If you'll get your big offer in some time, and i am sure you will, don't let them press you in some kind of MvsW format. Think of Ray Mears and keep it real. Thanx for the really good clip by the way...

  • When I was a kid, other kids and I would throw rocks on the pavement during recess to watch which ones broke in what ways. We'd also place them on bigger rocks and come down on them with rocks in our hands. It seems like a lot of things I learn nowadays I did instinctively as a child.

  • @bmxfreak130 i agree because i have trouble with them type of things
