Video 9 - Mammals

Adriana Bravo, the teams mammologist, treks through dense Amazon forests demonstrating how she locates monkeys, bats, tapirs, and other mammals—good indicators of habitat health and human disturbance. This is the final installment in a ten-part series of video reports documenting The Field Museums expedition to the Amazon lowlands.

The Museums Rapid Inventory Program brings together biological and social information to create a roadmap for practical, long-lasting, and locally-supported conservation. During October of 2008, an international team of scientists led by Dr. Corine Vriesendorp of The Field Museum surveyed the Cuyabeno-Güeppí region where Ecuador, Peru, and Colombia meet.
