Rome Statute Review Conference - William R. Pace, the CICC

Mr. William R. Pace, Convenor of the Coalition for the International Criminal Court, on what the CICC is.

The Review Conference taking place in Kampala, Uganda from 31 May to 11 June 2010, is a significant milestone for the International Criminal Court. It will be the first opportunity for the States Parties to the Rome Statute to make amendments to the Statute since its entry into force on 1 July 2002. Additionally the Review Conference will be an occasion for a "stocktaking" of international justice.

The event will be open to the States Parties to the Rome Statute, observer States, and States not having observer status as well as intergovernmental organizations and other entities. Additionally, numerous representatives of the civil society, including non-governmental organizations and representatives of victim's organizations will attend the Conference.
