powercise not all kids develop with the same speed .Kid who is good at 5 6 7 8 is not neseserely good later ( Pete Sampras is a good exemple).

Geez so many experts out there all with their own point of view... let the kid play, she looks like she plays just fine to me - leave the coaching to her coach and the progression will come. A racquet is the right size if the kid can handle it ok and she handle sit just fine - so many people expect kids of 7,8 and 9 to hit like 15 year olds, it is a long journey and rushing it isn't going to help matters.

i agree with Goonerboy23.

i mean if you knew anything about coaching you'd know that her coach here is working on control and therefore she is not required to be hitting the ball hard. I mean give the kid a break, she's young and very talented at that. She'll improve tremendously in due time.

i play tennis also and was a former number 1 player in the girls 10's eastern section when i was only nine. now im 11. she looks like she has pretty good coordination. try working on her extension when she finishes the forehand/backhand. shes very talented. how old is she?

Macci has a track record of kids that age. Roddick, Capriati, Williams sisters, Mary Pierce. Bolletieri does not work with kids at 5-8, never has. he sent Sharapova away at 6, she came back at 9. Macci has the track record with kids that age, end of story.
