  • Vladimir Ilyushin, not Gagarin was a first Soviet cosmonaut, read: Lost Cosmonauts at /wiki/Lost_Cosmonauts

  • @freediver57

Ive heard about the Ilyushin theory, and it is absolutely fascinating. I would have loved to have added something about him, but i had major time restrictions so i had to leave that story out.

  • I enjoyed it and learned more about Russian cosmonauts..

The break in the music for the mysterious voice recording was a very effective dramatic point. It brought the tension to a peak and was a suitable climax for the documentary.

The explosions at the beginning were almost boring. I got the point after the first few explosions.

The narrator's final monologue was too sentimental for me. It was too long and after having being mostly factual and concrete, this shift in tone was too extreme.

  • Like another comment said maybe quotes or sources should have been put somewhere as this is the type of film which makes you want to read up on the subject matter more, but other than that it was really intriguing and really well made.

  • Regarding the film, I think you nailed it with the music and narration. I would like to see sources quoted somewhere, either in the film or in the youtube notes, to further the spirit of scientific investigation. And higher resolution would be nice as well!

    Cheers

  • I'm impressed! I love a good conspiracy theory and can understand why some of the social experiments during the USSR were revealed after their ideologies were clearly cast aside, while the ongoing usefulness of the successes and failures of the space programme remain valuable secrets. Even scant data on the circumstances of a death during re-entry 60 years ago has value today, if not to the US then certainly to the Chinese who are planning on significant space exploration in the next few years.

  • cheers buddy . well done

  • I pooped my pants after about two minutes.

I will come back to this video when I am struggling with constipation and need a quick fix.

  • this video made my bowel movement come 1 hour faster than usual. thank you for this.

  • >all these dead people

AND NOTHING OF VALUE WAS LOST.

  • @ghosterdude -- The 'fourth guy' was Joe Shea, NASA's manager of the Apollo Spacecraft Program Office (ASPO). The story is documented in Harrison Storms' biography, "Angle of Attack." It's also summarized in the Wikipedia article on Apollo-1. Point, set, match, John Lear's fables again go down in flames. What have you learned from this exchange?

  • @ghosterdude -- But John Lear isn't an 'insider in the aviation industry',you said he was the SON of an insider. And what else has he said that you believed?
