@Sociologamer Glad the EUR AND U.S version didn't have the Vocals.

@17jun1989 Agreed - I thought the rap got in the way of a very sweet ambient song. I was all WTF? when I heard the weird rap version.

Without the Whack Rappin is far Better.

I liked the rap, but in all honesty i think the instrumental version is a lot better. It just seems to ''fit'' the area a lot better than the rap does.
:\ I liked the rap. I like this too. I don't really get the point of taking it out, especially since it added a unique ambiance to the ruins in the JPN version.

@arelimoon29 Lyrics worked out pretty well in the area. Don't get me wrong, I like this version too, but in no way were the lyrics bad when used in the context of the game. I think the real problem here is peple getting all upset cause its so different from previous music in the series, and we all know how most final fantasy fans handle changes.

Also if this is the version we'll be getting on the Collector's Edition OST.

@nor3paint Also bear in mind, they did the same thing for XIII. Lyrics were altered for many songs, and while we never got an instrumental, there are noticable differences between the songs in the english and japanese versions of the game. That kinda gets me worried, though... I don't want them changing up the lyrics to other songs on this soundtrack, or, god forbid, making masterpieces like Ruined Hometown or New Bodhum all instrumentals as well.
