2:00 I would beat the shit out of that person who's cell phone went off.

Great performance! Very expressive.

It ended before the final G!! Very good performance, would like a bit more venom in some parts, but it's very well controlled.

This was so much better than Yeol Eum Son's performance. Much more fluid, technically flawless, and full of fire! This interpretation reminds me of Yuja Wang's....

2:00 LOL at the cell phone! :P
He has a certain FIRE to him. I heard him do the Chopin Ballades, Brahms Op. 118, and the Ginastera first piano sonata in a recital. The Chopin and Brahms were so sensitive and deep, but in the more furious parts (especially Chopin Ballades 1, 2, and 4), he knew how to take it and run! And the Ginastera... Well, that just blew the ROOF off of the auditorium. INSTANT standing ovation. I REALLY REALLY hope he commercially records Ginastera's first sonata!!!

Wonderful performance.

Besides his jaw-dropping fingerwork, the thing that amazes me about Zhang is his amazing mastery over dynamics. Listen especially to the candenza beginning at about 6:10.
You are absolutely right. Wonderful observation!
