  • Me neither. Me thinks liberals just have trouble listening to logic.

  • Additionally, the libs blame everything on Bush. Not one thing Obama has done has helped. He claims to have "saved" a ton of jobs, but unemployment is stil going up. He is basing it off nothing, just a made up figure to make it appear as if he knows what he's doing. Just wait until about a year from now. The libs are planning a huge energy bill that will crush businesses, and the ones that survive will pass the cost on to us. There will be massive new lines to the welfare office.

  • I think the operative word here is "when". When did I do that? I think many liberals lazily dismissed many of George Bush's beliefs as "republican talking pojnts" an you are making the same mistake in this discussion. I do not have any "social goals" that I told you about. Maybe, you ought to stop making assumptions about other people's opinions and maybe, you ought to start addressing what's actually been said so far. That's only my own modest proposal, but it might help.

  • When you try to lead discussion by reducing everything to a series of talking points as the basis of all beliefs, it serves to discredit your capacity for individual thought. And when you've had friends and family that have suffered horribly in communist and fascist countries (my great grandparents from both sides fled Europe) you harbor an immediate distrust of anyone who touts "social goals" as utopian vision.

  • Personally, I do not fully agree with all troop surges. I think, there ought to be more troops in Afghanistan, with more participation of America's allies. There shouldn't be any troops in Iraq. How come you are being so antagonistic? Di I touch a nerve?

  • So you agree with troop surges then? Because before Obama got elected, he didn't agree.

BTW - I never voted for Bush. I'm not a fan of collectivists. In fact, I hate them. Fascism is a European ideal and it's here now. Nationalization of industry - fascism. Youth brigades - fascism. Civilian Defense Force - fascism.

Pull your head out of your collectivist ass. I don't think he's weak on foreign policy you pathetic talking point. I think he's wrong. Stay out of other countries.

  • That's neither here nor there. What, he made a foreign policy decision that you do not happen to agree with, and therefore he must be weak on foreign policy?

  • Which is why he's passed a troop surge for Afganistan. Anytime you want to make sense, be my guest.

  • For whom was it news that Spector was a Democrat.... He just forgot to change his party with his state. He has been voting Democrat for over a decade.
