"Hubert Sumlin arguably did his best work during the 23 years he was Howlin' Wolf's guitar player, and his ragged, angular guitar style was a big part of Wolf's rough-and-ready sound."
So says Steve Leggett speaking of the disc that this song is taken from. And he may be right. Sumlin *was* very good at the side of Wolf. But he was good as well with his own band - as in Blue Shadows.
A great Bluesman has passed away.
May he rest in peace.

R.I.P. Hubert Sumlin. Got to see him a couple times and met him with my buddy Sean last January in Costa Mesa on the Crossroads 100th anniversary of Robert Johnson tour. Hubert still had it. You are a legend and a huge influence on guitar players all over the world. Your legacy lives on.
