Lightroom 3 is a fantastic piece of software which is well worth the money. It will prove invaluable to anyone who regularly shoots large numbers of photographs, particularly when using a camera RAW format.

  • Thks for the video I have a problem, even if I already updated the metadata file Ctrl+s or in the menu, and it creates the sidecarfile, nor Bridge, Photoshop or photomechanic will see the new keyword... what can be happening? regards

  • @Leonbartolome Sidecar files are used by Lightroom to store metadata without altering the relevant Raw file. If you want metadata written to a file for use in other applications, you will need to work with .dng files or create a TIFF file that you then open in the other application. Search Adobe LR3 help for "metadata sidecar" and check out the first article that comes up: "About Metadata and XMP".

  • Lightroom-3 can search on creation|edit date(s) via a SmartCollection !

  • @teeohess Another reason why LR3 is too cool for school!

  • Thank you for taking the time to do this. It was very helpful to me.
