One of my favorite parts in Eclipse was the "chess match" between Edward and Alice on pg. 58. It's not exactly like bella explained, but how I imagined it would be.

I love how Alice can see Edwards decison, counters it thinking she's gonna win, but after she decides to counter it, Edward reads her mind and counters her counter. (lol confusing i know!) And he changes his mind to quickly for her to see his decision so really Edward always wins
