Why did BP give Florida 25 million dollars for clean up? I have not heard that they have given anywhere else; Louisianna, any huge sum of clean up money and Louisianna has been hard hit early on and Florida is yet to be hit as hard but bp has already givel n Florida coastal clean up money. Just Wondering. I know that the richy rich live in P-cola so wondering why they would need the money more than Louisianna for clean up.
At the same time that the US government shouldered the responsibility for regulating off-shore drilling it shouldered the responsibility to minimize the effects of a leak on American homes and livelihoods.
BP should pay for the cleanup, but the US government should have moved more quickly to help people protect the coasts.
Has Louisiana been given Federal funds yet, as usually happens at times of disasters?
Govt' should stop thinking about drilling. Explore and jump start all other enegry resources as if this is a war to win. ... it is time to save our planet/our environment. It's not a joke is it, now? I am sure lots of people, nature will hurt hard from this oil split. There is no logic in pointing fingers or playing the blame me game. There is not time for that... Work together to find a better energy resource and re-build our global community.
it makes me sad everytime hearing this kind of news. sigh!
