The Evans Gambit is a very aggressive line in the Giuoco Piano that has yet to be refuted. I think it is white's best continuation in the Giuoco Piano and gives white lots of fighting opportunities throughout the game.

what do you do if at 6:53 when we use the rook to move to e1 to pin the knight ,and the pawn at c3 moves to c2 attacking the knight and rook?

  • (At 07:30) What should I do if black moves bishop to c3 and take my knight and threaten my rook at a1? Should I take him with my queen or should i simply move my rook to h1?

  • @someone933 that would be instant checkmate for black. Blacks Queen would just take the rook.

  • Which would you say is a stronger opening, Evans or Giuco Piano?

  • @mycatrox

d'oh! you're right of course. i forgot the bishop was preventing Re1

  • @mycatrox A quicker way of winning is just Bd3, Qg4, Qb5 and black is just hopeless.

  • @TehRoxxor1111 Then Re1, Qxe1, Nxe1 and white is winning.

  • @mycatrox

don't see how thats better. if Nxc7+, then Bxc7

  • @someone933 look at the bishop on a5

  • what if they move there pawn to d6
