  • Reminds me of sitting around with my grandfather, thanks for posting!

  • I'm looking for a song they covered called That's where my money goes, Nobody's Business If I do. My grandmother sang this one all the time. I can't find it if you have it could you please post it that would be great.

  • Carter Stanley died far to soon. As great as Dr Ralph is one can only speculate what was next if his brother had lived

  • @dylansaves

To me, the perfect bluegrass recording ever made was "Six More Miles". Ralph's driving licks under Pee Wee Lambert's superb mandolin break is a joy to hear. You wouldn't have a video of that one, would you?

  • Sorry not 'True Love' but Too Sweet to Last. Lyrics starts with: Here's the story of two childhood sweethearts And the love that you shared still untold How our simple little vows they were broken And the love that I treasured more than gold Are you tired of the life that you're living Does your mind wander back to the past Do your think of the love you've forsaken Darling true love is too sweet to last
  • @dylansaves

Do you happen to have 'True Love'? I only have one very bad (but wonderfull) song on a cassette tape.

But then any live appearance of the Stanley Brother will be greately appreciated.

    Thanks & best regards,

    Jeff, the Netherlands.

  • @corinaconniff I think that is "When the Kitten Starts Totin' The Cat." Could be on the same album as "Let's Go To The Fair." Larry Sparks leads on those.

  • @dylansaves Old Richmond Prison would be nice

  • ahem just a couple no wait 5 no 10 shoot all of it

  • wow. I love how my previous comment was 'removed' because I was stating an opinion.

All I said was that I liked Dierks' version better because it was more upbeat.

Don't get me wrong... I'm a Die hard Stanley Brothers/ Ralph Stanley fan...

just... with this song, I prefer the other version.

Not a big deal. I mean, I was raised listening to Ralph... I'd NEVER bash him on purpose.

I kind of feel bad now for the way I worded the other comment. :/
