I have always loved the bass line for this song. When the Anthology came out with the 1963 version it was incredible to hear McCartney say that he wasn't able to keep up with the band. In the 1969 version it's the bass line that drives the song.

  • That is awesome! Ive got a 66 issue hofner and the sound from a violin bass has to be the most beautiful there is. Just managed to master the bass line to "I saw her standing there" McCartney truly is a genius of bass playing!

  • @ThePunkpooch I agree. Thanks for the comments.

  • beautiful bass! im so jealous! lol, i just got my natural finish casino, we should totally get together and and re-enact the rooftop concert, lol!

  • @MadVillainy2 Ready when you are!

  • My Jay Turser Beatle bass has a prettier finish than your Hofner....( hee-hee)

  • @FOSEEBOY prettier finish won't help you if it sounds like crap.

  • @ThePunkpooch hi! True, but "he I saw her standing there bass part was "stolen" from a Chuck Berry Song" That is a Paul McCartney quote... :D

  • Do you have any tabs for what you're playing? I have one, but it looks different than what you're using.

  • Bass is out of tune but hey, this guy can play! Great!

  • I've watched your video many times. I'm using it as my tutor for our band! Excellent cover. Don't let Sir Paul find out your not a lefty. Cheers.

  • From Brazil

    Very good job, buddy.

But try to elevate the audio.

  • ..buena brother ...te invito a ver el mio

  • I suggest using flat strings, certainly give a result sound more "Beatle". Greetings from Brazil!

  • now do it left handed with a pick. pretty basic rifs. lets see your cover of savoy truffle. :)
