  • God damn these songs are so good! And you do them well. I wish that every bar, pub or restaurant I go to would have someone like you sitting in it singing so I wouldn't have to listen to the crap that passes for music in theses places! sorry...it's hard to find good music where I live...THANK YOU AGAIN!

  • Thanks shantysong I do love some of these old songs of the sea. I also found that my grt grt grandfather was a skipper of the Kent coast in the late 1800's. And I think he smuggled a bit.

  • Like with the worlds best lager you have to Enjoy Davids songs Responsibly..yeah right.....burp...burp! Cheers mate yet another geat party song for me to sing along to. Oddly enough one of my best mates is in quebec this week so it was very apt as I can imagine her riding on a donkey.

  • Hello

    David...

    Well,by definition,a song of the sea can't be 100% wholesome,prim n' proper,now could it? LOL

    Peace,

    Stewball

  • If only I could find a Donkey big enough to take the weight I think I could travel the world. Tons of different verses and some not wholesome enough for youtube and the next generation.

  • Greetings

    David...

You have managed to bring a fresh vitality to this beloved sea shanty (as you know,I eat these dittes up like peanuts)...It does my heart a lot of good knowing that you are perpetuating these chestnuts for the next generation. I am almost in tears here,David. Many thanks from over the big pond.

    Peace,

    Stewball
