  • Best book I've read in a long time. Don't miss it. I'm really hoping for a sequel or prequel.

  • The Esperanto community took note of the Hotel Zamenhof and the use of Esperanto in the hotel. Returning to reality, Esperanto is still used all over the world and for any who doubt that Google the word Esperanto--look at the number of articles, websites and blogs in and about Esperanto, or look at the Esperanto version of Wikipedia, among the top 20 languages in use there. There are are 2,000 language in the world. Pretty good for a 130 year old language.

  • He's absolutely brilliant. I've loved everything I've ever read by him. Mysteries of PIttsburgh is beautiful though.

He has the habit of making me wish his character were real people that I could know.

  • he pronounces mabuhay wrong its mabuHAy

  • I'm not related, but take it from a real Jewish detective, this book is a fine police procedural.

I loved Kaviler &, could not believe the same guy wrote this.

  • I love Yiddish Policeman's Union. I haven't read any of his other books but I will try.

  • I´m listening to it too. Its very good.

  • wow, everyone is related to him? haha, michael is dope! love his books but mysteries of pittsburg should NOT have been a movie

  • This book rules!!!!!!

  • I'm listening to Yiddish Policeman's Union on CD. Peter Riegert reads it. Perfect choice. I listen to CDs on the drive to work everyday. Keeps me from stressing and raging at traffic. I highly recommend it. Chabon crafts sentences with eccentrically poetic genius. If you haven't read or listened to this book... hit the nearest bookstore or library!!!
