We already passed the tipping point. At least we should delay all the fallout happening in the world. Warming is real, and I do not want another Katrina on steroid to mobilize the senators.

We can get off most fossil fuels within 20-30 years if we put a concerted effort into solar, wind, fuel cells, electric cars, algae biofuels, and new nuclear technologies.
We also need a new national smart power grid to move electricity.
We can use a carbon tax on fossil fuels to pay for it, and it'll provide millions of JOBS that can't be exported.
Europe & China are ALREADY doing this and America will lose out in future green energy technologies, if we don't.
We owe it to our grandchildren.

All you guys are wrong wrong wrong the energy bill wont put ppl out of jobs and the people who dont trust his judgement are just people dont think about the previous adminastration. Now, that with the bill it makes sence for the bill to be that high i voted for him because his policies made a hole lot more sence then mccains. mcains policy's just didnt make sence and they didnt really work in the past, and that with the energy bill it will save are planet. Dont judge too quickly

I too am appalled at some of the comments that have been made here. Constructive criticism with an intelligent point of view is an example of free thinking and free speech but racism on the other hand has no place here. Racism has no place period! Uneducated comments only reflect on the stupidity and ignorance of the beholder.
