Damn... That "brdwonder" guy was really pissed off about this video!

Fantastic! I love it. I'm a huge Bruce Springsteen fan and Joe Ely is like Springsteen's more folksy cousin. Love it.
-
Um, Joe Ely would have been 12 years old when Buddy Holly died?
-
@brdwonder I hope you're just joking about remembering Joe in Buddy Holly's band. Joe would have been about 12 years old when Buddy died. I don't recall any 12 year olds in Buddy's band. Maybe you're thinking of Waylon Jennings, who was also from Lubbock, TX.

I like the Robert Earl Keen version. It has more passion and its a lot fun to dance to.

New Years in Ft Worth Texas with Darren Bunch's Crew and a closed party in the Worthington Hotel and Joe was it.
Caravan Of Dreams
Flew to Austin from Pa in September '09 and saw him at the Union Ballroom at UT. Walked over from the Tech game! What a night! He had his old band back together - McClarty, Grissom, Pettit. Who is the guitarist in this clip?

Ya well, how can we tell how good it is when recorded mono on a cheap cell phone? I am older than dirt and remember Joe in Buddy Holley's band. The 45 records I bought in the 50's had better sound. I feed this U tube music into BIG JBL spkrs thru a 100 W per chan Kenwood amp with the Creative Soundblaster card in my PC attempting to make it stereo. It's pretty much crap. U can't shine a pig and U can't make this into a clean recording U wanna save. U tube oughta reject crap like this.

Might I suggest iTunes for really clean recordings.
