The french connection (1971) car chase

One of the best copmovies of the 70's with Gene Hackman en Roy Scheider. This scene a cop tries to keep up with a metro/subway/train. It's a very very cool carchase. Enjoy. Directed by: William Fr...

What makes the scene genius is that there's no music added.

Beyond words!

The car chase from Bullit had music, and it was pretty amazing as well.

Hmm, I only know Groundhog Day, but it is with Murray, not Gene Hackman.

Ive always wondered if the shooting of this scene was real or just hype generated by the publicity department? How can you endanger the crew, the actor, drivers and pedestrians with such a dangerous thing? I bet this was actually planned and staged because TFC was a union film and there would have been hell to pay.
