View Chicagoland Rail activity in 1988.. See a Conrail light loco move at Porter Indiana in the rain. Then go to 16th street tower to see Metra and an ICG TOFC snaking past the Beatric Foods Medal Gold Butter factory. Then its to LaSalle Street Station to watch Metra and a very smoky SW1 switching. Next is Amtrak action from Roosevelt Road overpass. See a SD9 doing switching at the BN Clyde Yard the view the BN Clyde Yard Loco terminal. View BN Commuter Trains pulled by rebuilt E9's pulling Bi-levels, GE B-30-7B cabless locos, fuekl tenders, LMS Leasing units, Double Stack & TOFC Freights at Berwyn 3 miles west of Clyde, See 15 GP8 &GP10 locos on the Chicago Centsal &Pacific overpass on their way to the scrapper. View BRC TR2 Cow & calf units & cars being pushed uo the hump at "Clearing Yard" Then view an IHB EMDSW1500 & slug switch a unkniwn yard plus an IHB transfer with 3 SW1500's & two Conrail SD40-2. See the GE 44 Ton Scrap yard switcher. Then view Amtrak action at Porter Indiana.

  • @toorivers . I used Bing Maps and discovered that a lot of the structures are not there today. The train shed @ Lasalle street station has been lengthened.
