Yf-23 was more expensive = better aircraft. the f-35 has 1 engine which produces alot of thrust, if it had 2 the f22 could go mach 2.4 the f-35 would go mach 3 but too much drag could break it appart :P

The YF-23 actually won the competition, but the YF-22 was a more elegant design that caught the eye of the Air Force and therefore the F-22 won because it was pretty and made by Lockheed Martin
I still it is bullshit ...

I love the Raptor, always have and always will. But the Widow is just a one hell of a unique and aggressive looking fighter. I've always wondered what it would be like if things had gone the other way,
