Fanny Bloom is no stranger to the Montreal scene. Exploring a rhythm reminiscent of Lykke Li, Gonzales and Sebastien Tellier, Bloom recently released "Apprentie Guerrière", her first album since dismantling her bubbly-pop band, La Patère Rose. Combining evolved piano melodies and deep urban sounds with an intimate feel, it's as if through her music, the once-naïve Fanny has grown into a woman - replacing the crayons and little-girl pigtails with blood-red lipstick and messy hair.
