I originally intended this for St. Patrick's Day but here it is a few months early. I love Celtic music and folk ballads and this is one of my favorite Irish songs, probably because my name is in it! My father's ancestry is predominately Anglo-Irish with a few drops of Scottish blood in there. Here in Canada there is a lot of interest in Celtic music and here Loreena McKennitt performs a wonderful rendition of this song, set to photos from the Emerald Isle and drawings of "Irish Colleens". Enjoy!

  • Very enjoyable Muirm

  • What a beautiful place Ireland is. The breathtaking natural beauty is not wiped away because of it's government and policies. I would love to visit this country.

  • Beautiful! You mean if I ever get the chance to finally go to Ireland I will not get to experience this beauty first hand?

  • This is quite beautiful, albeit a very romantic view of Ireland, there is not a scene in which I have not walked, climbed, fished or contemplated, though sadly no more, for Ireland has been violated by it leaders and those entrusted to protect her...alas no more the sweet air, nor friendly face, all is now lost in a melting pot of wrath, a european detritus and sad modernity.
