At least five green hawaiian turtles, or honu, were this last Sunday on Waikiki beach. They were on the water, eating the limu of the rocks. A lot of tourists were there enjoying the amazing experience of seeing this animal. But they didn't know they were acting wrong.
It is an endangered specie. People can not try to touch, harass, anoy, or feed them. If you see one, just stay away and look at them. These people were lucky because noone noticed that they didn't respect the obligatory distance of security. These animals are shy and they could die if people are in their way to the surface when they need to breathe. So please, respect the law!
Very nice video. I love Honu! A couple of years ago when I was sitting on Waikiki Beach I watched 6 Honu swimming not far off shore. They were out there for nearly an hour.

@BananaJSSI Thank you!! I think they were the same honu again for me!! hehehe. I think that they go swimming and exploring around the island while they are young, and when they grow up the want to explore the sea around so they go to the French Friggate Shoals, an atoll with a big coral reef where they can develop their abilities and meet new honus. I learnt a lot about them while I was in Hawaii ;).
