The university system nationwide is trash. The threat of unemployment drives professors to teach useless canonical bullshit and a set of now obsolete utilitarian skills that don't guarantee shit once the fantasy of higher education is over. Why pay to be future consumers? College should teach us how to make society more livable not how to cope with debt and a doomed job market. Let's organize. Let's do it relentlessly until our needs are met. This is a university not a fucking business.
I guess you dont see reality: 12% percent of California is unemployed, many more are underemployed, the State is 23 billion in debt, a quarter of million people left the state since the beginning of the year. People are struggling to survive, they cant give anymore so you cant raise taxes. So you have to cut. Dems are driving away business by stupid regulations
This what we get with out of control spending from a one party state such as California. Making promises that they cant keep.
As with most protests at sfsu there are like three people actually paying attention to whatever the protesters' asinine cause is while everyone else goes about their business.
Really people denying other students their right to education?
they're standing up for what they believe in. if we don't make noise, we wont be heard.
people are not getting classes, furloughs are cutting back on what we can actually learn, and the whole point of education is denied to a generation of students across the state. and the money taken from here is going to war and prison maintenance.
so lets make some noise and show them that we wont take this sitting down!
and a hugeeeee props to those who locked themselves in and protested!

What freaking losers. Their protests are so counter productive. I'm so glad I finished school there and don't have to put up with these hypocrites.
